Dr. Scott Lee is originally from South Korea and moved to California at age 14. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California San Diego, where he earned dual degrees. Dr. Lee then worked in a periodontal office where his interest in periodontics came alive. He pursued his dental degree at Western University of Health Sciences, followed immediately by his periodontal residency in Rochester, MN, at the Mayo Clinic. While in residency, Dr. Lee received the Philip J. Sheridan award, given to the dental specialty resident that most displays Mayo Clinic’s primary mission of “the needs of the patient come first”. In addition to his formal training, Dr. Lee has pursued training in minimally invasive soft tissue grafting for teeth and implants under world-renowned periodontal plastic surgeon, Dr. Pat Allen.
Dr. Lee is well versed in all phases of periodontal and dental implant therapy, including surgical and non-surgical management of periodontal disease, soft tissue grafting, dental implants and IV sedation. Throughout his residency, Dr. Lee was able to treat many complex patients, allowing for excellent experience in larger, multi-disciplinary cases including full arch, immediate load implant prostheses. Dr. Lee has placed hundreds of dental implants, many utilizing immediate implant placement protocols, complex bone grafting and sinus augmentations.
Dr. Lee and his wife, Christina, reside in Rochester with their two young children and are excited to welcome their third child in early 2021! After being in Rochester for three years, they are pleased to make Rochester their permanent residence, as they enjoy the town, patients, local dental community and even the snow! Outside of periodontics, Dr. Lee enjoys snow skiing, playing soccer, watching professional sports (he has become a Vikings fan!) and spending time with his growing family.
